About STEM Stories

The STEM Stories project is building a free online collection that combines multimedia resources from many sources to highlight careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through the personal stories of STEM pioneers and professionals, both past and present. It also includes updated content from the Telling Our Stories: Women in Science CD-ROM (McLean Media). The STEM Stories web site is still growing but already contains many interesting clips to view and stories to explore.

Aimed at Grades 4 – 8, it builds on the Content Clips system framework developed through the NSF’s National Science Digital Library program.

This web site is based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant No HRD-0734004. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this material are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation.
